Coles CIO Peter Mahler resigns

There’s been plenty of technology news to keep me busy over the past few days. My big scoop on Monday was reporting that long-time Coles Group chief information officer Peter Mahler would leave.

In our large Tuesday IT section I had a trio of stories: an interview with Microsoft developer evangelist Frank Arrigo, a local reaction from Ericsson to their global decision to sell off their PBX arm, and a piece about how ten internet service providers have written to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission to complain about Telstra.

Lots of writing! It’s been an entertaining few days.

"Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplacable spark. In the hopeless swamps of the not quite, the not yet, and the not at all, do not let the hero in your soul perish and leave only frustration for the life you deserved, but never have been able to reach. The world you desire can be won, it exists, it is real, it is possible, it is yours."
