CSIRO picks Dell for desktop contract

Australia’s peak research body, the CSIRO, has handed a new multi-million-dollar computer hardware contract (including desktops, servers, and associated stuff) to Dell, extending the pair’s already decade-long relationship.

Optus happy with Alphawest growth

The head of Optus’ business division, John Simon, has played down the idea that the telco’s Alphawest subsidiary might take part in the consolidation of the corporate technology services market, according to this article I did for the AFR this week.
I also speak with Alphawest’s new CEO Rob Parcell in the interview, one of the first times he has spoken publicly since taking on the role early this year.
