Accolades at the IT Journalism awards

Every year the Australian company MediaConnect, the main company tracking Australian technology journalists, holds an awards night to give credit to the best writers in the field.

Congratulations must go to everyone who won awards; despite the fact that we all work for different companies and publications, we are all engaged in a noble endeavour, bringing quality information andentertainment to our audiences.

I currently work for the Australian Financial Review newspaper and MIS Magazine. MIS won Best Business Technology title, while the AFR won Best Industry Title.

This year, I didn’t win a coveted Lizzie (the first place prize for the various categories), but I was:

  • Highly commended for the Best Business Technology Journalist award
  • Commended for Best Article award
